Robotic knee tested to help amputees walk better

NCT ID NCT04799145

Summary

This small study tested a new powered, computer-controlled knee prosthesis (the Mobili Knee) to see if it improved basic mobility and balance compared to people's usual prosthetic knees. Six adults with above-knee amputations performed walking and balance tests using both their regular knee and the new investigational one. Researchers compared the results to see if the new device helped people walk faster or more steadily.
