Fresh food on wheels: can discounts fight rural health problems?
NCT ID NCT07218978
Summary
This study is testing if providing vouchers for a mobile produce market can help people in rural North Carolina eat more fruits and vegetables and improve their food security. Researchers will enroll 150 adults at risk of food insecurity who agree to use a $20 monthly voucher to shop at the mobile market. They will measure changes in diet, weight, and food security status to see if this approach makes healthy food more affordable and accessible.
