First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether a GPS-based mobile app, financial incentives, and peer mentor support could help men who have sex with men and transgender women leaving jail get HIV prevention services like PrEP and testing. 233 participants were split into two groups: one received standard case management, the other got the app and extra support. The goal was to see if the app helped more people connect with doctors, start PrEP, and get tested for HIV and other infections.
