Can a fitness tracker get young cancer patients off the couch?
NCT ID NCT06182163
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mobile health program—including a fitness tracker with reminders to move, coaching, and a peer support app—could help 20 teens and young adults (ages 12-21) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) reduce the time they spend sitting or lying down during maintenance chemotherapy. The program lasted 10 weeks, and researchers measured if it was practical, liked by participants, and if it showed signs of improving quality of life or health markers. The goal was to see if this approach could be used in larger future studies.
