Summary

This study tested a mobile, web-based program called STEPS to see if it could lower the risk of type 2 diabetes in Hispanic adults living in rural areas. 179 participants were randomly assigned to use the STEPS program or receive usual care for three months. Researchers measured weight loss and blood sugar changes at three and six months to see if the program helped reduce diabetes risk.
