Portable scanner could bring medical imaging to bedside for critically ill children

NCT ID NCT07166926

Summary

This study is testing whether a portable CT scanner, already approved for head imaging, can safely take pictures of children's chests and bellies. It focuses on children under 5 years old who are too sick to be safely moved to the hospital's radiology department. Researchers will check if the images taken by the mobile scanner are clear enough for doctors to use for diagnosis.
