NCT ID NCT07273227
First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special mobile van can safely close a common heart hole (atrial septal defect) using only ultrasound guidance, without X-rays or contrast dye. About 300 people aged 8 and older will be randomly assigned to get the procedure either in the mobile unit or in a standard hospital. The goal is to see if the mobile approach works just as well, with fewer risks and better access for patients in remote areas.
