Texting for health: can WhatsApp help stop HIV spread?
NCT ID NCT04814654
Summary
This study tested whether a WhatsApp-based program could encourage more men who have sex with men in India to get tested for HIV and connect to preventive care like counseling or PrEP medication. Researchers compared the WhatsApp program to simpler approaches like just offering free testing coupons. The goal was to find better ways to reach this high-risk group with prevention services.
