Can a phone app help expectant moms navigate genetic testing decisions?

NCT ID NCT05055700

Summary

This study tested whether a specially designed mobile app could help pregnant women learn about and make decisions regarding prenatal genetic testing. Researchers enrolled 178 pregnant women who were at higher risk for having a baby with a genetic condition. The goal was to see if the app improved their knowledge, reduced decision-making stress, and influenced whether they chose to get the testing.
