NCT ID NCT01325025

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study used powerful MRI scans to track how a rare brain disease called metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD) damages white matter in children aged 1 to 6. Researchers studied 29 children recently diagnosed with MLD to better understand the disease's progression. The goal was to find new ways to measure the disease, which could help doctors select patients for future treatments and evaluate how well those treatments work.
