Summary
This study looked at how the drug MK-8527, which may be used to prevent HIV, passes into breast milk. Thirteen healthy mothers who were at least 6 weeks postpartum took a single dose. Researchers measured drug levels in their breast milk, blood, and whole blood over 120 hours to understand how much a nursing baby might receive.
