First human tests begin for experimental diabetes pill

Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety and side effects of an experimental drug called MK-2828 in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will give the drug to 64 participants for about a month to see how their bodies handle it and if it affects a blood marker linked to inflammation. The main goal is to understand if the drug is safe and well-tolerated before larger studies can test if it helps control diabetes.
