New hope for KRAS lung cancer: targeted pill shrinks tumors in early trial

Summary
This study tests a new pill, MK-1084, for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific gene change called KRAS G12C. The drug targets this change to try to shrink or stop the cancer. About 130 participants will receive the drug, and researchers will check for side effects and how well the cancer responds. This is not a cure, but aims to control the disease.
