First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a mixed reality system called VascuLens 2.0 to help surgeons during DIEP flap breast reconstruction. The system projects a 3D map of a patient's blood vessels onto their body, which may improve accuracy, shorten surgery time, and lower complication risks. About 60 adult breast cancer patients will take part, comparing the new method to standard surgical markings.
