Looking back: does your original valve problem predict your new Valve's future?

NCT ID NCT07151989

Summary

This study looks back at the medical records of 3,500 people who had a mitral valve replaced between 2012 and 2021. The goal is to see if the type of problem with their original heart valve (whether it was too tight, leaky, or both) affects how quickly the new replacement valve wears out over time. Researchers will analyze routine follow-up data, including heart ultrasounds, to understand this connection better.
