Summary
This study looks at 3500 people who had their mitral heart valve replaced to see if the original valve problem (narrowing vs. leaking) affects how long the new valve lasts. Researchers will review medical records from routine follow-ups over several years. The goal is to better understand why some replacement valves wear out faster.
