Summary

This study looked at whether an antioxidant supplement called MitoQ can improve skin blood flow and temperature in the cold, especially for Black people who have a higher risk of cold injuries like frostbite. 26 healthy adults took part. Researchers measured skin blood flow and temperature on the arm, hand, and finger during cold exposure. The goal was to see if MitoQ helps reduce blood vessel narrowing caused by oxidant compounds.
