Scientists test 'Ancient' engineered cell parts as a new cancer vaccine

Summary
This is an early-stage study to test the safety and initial effects of a new type of cancer vaccine. The vaccine is made from specially engineered mitochondria—tiny parts inside our cells—designed to train the immune system to attack tumors. It will be given to 12 adults with advanced solid cancers who have run out of standard treatment options.
