New depression pill could lift mood in weeks

Summary

This study tests a new drug called mitizodone phosphate for people with major depression. About 600 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure mood changes using a standard depression scale to see if the drug helps reduce symptoms safely.
