Virtual reality vs. mirror: which tech helps stroke patients move their arm better?

NCT ID NCT07018336

Summary

This study compares two modern rehabilitation techniques—mirror therapy and virtual reality (VR) therapy—to see which one provides better immediate improvement in arm movement for people recovering from a stroke. Forty-two participants who had a stroke 6-12 months ago will try one 30-minute session of either therapy. Researchers will measure changes in arm function, stiffness, daily activity skills, and reaction time right after the session to see which approach works better.
