First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether mirabegron, a drug typically used for overactive bladder, could raise blood pressure and reduce fainting in people with POTS who have low blood pressure. Twenty adults took either 25 mg or 50 mg daily for 8 weeks. Researchers measured blood pressure changes, fainting episodes, and quality of life. The study was funded by the American Heart Association.
