Summary
This study tested whether minoxidil, a blood pressure medicine, can improve blood vessel health in children with Williams-Beuren syndrome, a rare genetic condition that often causes heart and artery problems. The trial included 21 children aged 6 to 18 who took either minoxidil or a placebo for 12 months. Researchers measured changes in artery thickness and stiffness to see if the drug could prevent or reduce cardiovascular complications.
