Antibiotic tested as potential Brain-Saver after stroke

NCT ID NCT07305896

Summary

This study is testing if adding the antibiotic minocycline to standard medical care can help people recover better after a brain bleed (intracerebral hemorrhage). It will enroll 1,248 patients who have had a brain bleed within the last 24 hours. One group will get standard care plus a 7-day course of minocycline, while the other gets standard care alone, and both will be followed for 6 months to see which group has better functional recovery.
