New study tests less invasive back surgery against traditional method
NCT ID NCT04594980
Summary
This study compared two surgical approaches for treating a common cause of lower back and leg pain (lumbar spinal stenosis). 96 patients were randomly assigned to receive either a newer, less invasive surgery or the traditional open surgery. Researchers followed patients for one year to see which method led to better pain relief, improved function, and fewer complications.
