First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a new, less invasive surgery for people with large chest tumors (teratomas). Instead of opening the chest, surgeons lift the breastbone with a special device to create space and remove the tumor through a small cut below the breastbone. The goal is to reduce pain, scarring, and hospital stay. The study will include 40 people aged 10 to 70.
