Massive study reveals which liver surgery method is safer

NCT ID NCT07169877

Summary

This study looked back at the medical records of over 9,400 adults who had surgery to remove liver tumors. Researchers compared patients who had a minimally invasive procedure with those who had traditional open surgery. The goal was to see which approach led to fewer deaths, infections, and hospital readbacks within 30 days after the operation.
