Puncture instead of surgery: new device aims to simplify dialysis access

Summary
This study is testing a new device called the Velocity System that creates a dialysis access point using a small skin puncture and a catheter, avoiding traditional open surgery. It will enroll 126 adults with kidney failure who need dialysis access to see if this less invasive method is safe and works well. Participants will have the procedure and then be followed for up to five years with regular check-ups and scans.
