Summary
This study tested whether wearing minimalist (barefoot-style) shoes for 4 hours a day over 5 months changes foot muscles, stability, and pressure in healthy adults. 90 participants were split into minimalist shoe and regular shoe groups. The goal was to see medium-term effects on foot health, with results possibly used to promote minimalist footwear.
