New anesthesia method cuts costs and environmental impact during surgery
NCT ID NCT07248917
Summary
This study compared two different ways to deliver anesthesia gas during kidney stone surgery. Researchers tested whether using a very low flow of gas (minimal-flow) was as safe and effective as a standard low flow. They found the minimal-flow method used significantly less anesthetic gas while keeping patients safely asleep, which could save money and reduce environmental impact.
