First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study compared two surgical approaches for removing tumors in the pancreas and bile ducts: a less invasive (miniinvasive) method and traditional open surgery. Researchers looked at 320 adults aged 21-75 with resectable or borderline resectable cancers. The goal was to see which approach led to fewer complications like infections, bleeding, or pancreatic leaks, and whether it shortened hospital stays.
