New radiation device aims to target tumors while sparing healthy skin

NCT ID NCT07062003

Summary

This study is testing the safety and best dose of a new type of radiation therapy called minibeam radiation. It uses a special device to split the radiation beam into very narrow beams, aiming to better target skin and soft tissue tumors while potentially reducing damage to surrounding healthy skin. The trial is for adults whose tumors have come back or spread, and researchers will monitor side effects and tumor response over a year.
