Mindfulness training tested to help transplant patients stay on track
NCT ID NCT06879106
Summary
This study tested whether a mindfulness-based therapy program could help people who have received a liver transplant. The goal was to see if the therapy improved their motivation and, most importantly, their consistency in taking the anti-rejection medications they need to stay healthy. Researchers compared 60 patients who received eight weeks of mindfulness sessions to 80 patients who received standard care.
