Scientists scan teen brains to see if mindfulness cools vaping urges

NCT ID NCT06503159

Summary

This study aimed to understand how mindfulness training might affect the brains of teenagers who vape nicotine. Researchers used brain scans to see if an app-based mindfulness program changed connections in brain areas linked to craving and self-control. They also checked if any brain changes were related to teens vaping less. The study was small and has been terminated.
