Can meditation supercharge magic mushroom therapy?
NCT ID NCT06233344
Summary
This study is exploring whether combining mindfulness meditation training with a supervised dose of psilocybin (a compound from 'magic mushrooms') can improve mental health more than psilocybin alone. It will involve 40 healthy adults with no prior meditation or psychedelic experience. Researchers will measure changes in stress, mood, brain activity, and blood markers to see if the mindfulness training enhances the therapy's effects.
