Can text messages and mindfulness help overworked caregivers get moving?

NCT ID NCT06583018

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether a brief program combining mindfulness training and lifestyle counseling, delivered partly through mobile messages, is practical and acceptable for caregivers of people with neurodegenerative diseases like dementia. The goal is to help these caregivers increase their physical activity, which is often very low, to improve their long-term health and reduce stress. Researchers will measure if people can stick with the program and whether it leads to more movement and better well-being compared to basic health education.
