Mindfulness vs. dropout: can meditation keep women in treatment?
NCT ID NCT02977988
Summary
This study tested whether a special mindfulness program could help women stay in residential addiction treatment and avoid relapse. Researchers worked with 200 low-income women in California who were already in treatment for substance use disorders. They compared a mindfulness-based relapse prevention program against a standard education group to see which better helped women complete treatment and stay sober.
