Summary

This study tested whether a school-based mindfulness program could improve mental health and reduce stress for middle school students, particularly those with learning disabilities. Researchers worked with 68 students in 5th and 6th grades at schools serving underserved communities. The program aimed to lower anxiety, improve attention, and reduce stress hormones through regular mindfulness exercises taught during the school day.
