Mindfulness therapy tested as Drug-Free relief for new Mothers' depression
NCT ID NCT04332146
Summary
This study tested whether an 8-week mindfulness training program could help reduce depression symptoms in new mothers experiencing postnatal depression. Researchers compared the mindfulness program to a standard educational booklet in 70 women in Hong Kong. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could improve mood, anxiety, stress, and daily functioning for mothers up to three months after the program ended.
