First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether a sensory mindfulness technique could help mothers of babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) produce more breast milk and feel better. 60 mothers who were pumping milk for their hospitalized infants took part. The approach involved mindfulness training and using a hat worn by the baby to enhance connection. The goal was to reduce stress and improve milk production and overall well-being.
