Can mindfulness ease the emotional toll of IVF?
NCT ID NCT06799507
First seen Aug 25, 2026 · Last updated Aug 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether a mindfulness-based lifestyle support program can improve quality of life, healthy lifestyle habits, and mindfulness in women undergoing IVF treatment. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the mindfulness program alongside their usual care, or just their usual care. The study measures changes in fertility-related quality of life, lifestyle, and mindfulness levels to see if the program offers meaningful benefits.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Mindfulness-based lifestyle support program (behavioral intervention)
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this program could offer a simple, drug-free way to improve emotional well-being and quality of life for women during IVF, potentially enhancing treatment experiences.
- What could go wrong
- This is a relatively small trial, and results may not apply to all IVF patients. The program's benefits are uncertain, and it is not designed to directly improve IVF success rates.
