Can meditation heal sports injuries? new trial tests mind over matter for athlete recovery
NCT ID NCT07217275
Summary
This study is testing whether mindfulness training helps college athletes recover better after surgery for a sports injury. Researchers will compare 40 injured athletes who learn mindfulness skills to those who receive standard recovery instructions. They will measure pain levels, physical function, mental health, and how much pain medication is used to see if mindfulness makes a difference.
