NCT ID NCT07127016
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study explores whether mindfulness techniques can reduce anxiety, depression, and body image concerns in people with non-flaccid facial paralysis (caused by conditions like Bell's palsy or Lyme disease). Researchers will also measure if mindfulness improves synkinesis (unwanted muscle movements). The study plans to enroll 24 adults who have had facial paralysis for at least 8 months and have not received botox or physical therapy for it.
