Mindfulness meets arm cuffs: new combo therapy targets stubborn heart disease
NCT ID NCT07514624
First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining a simple arm-cuff treatment (remote ischemic conditioning) with mindfulness therapy can improve blood flow to the heart in people whose coronary artery disease was not fully fixed by stents or surgery. About 480 adults with ongoing chest pain or shortness of breath will be randomly assigned to the combo therapy or a control group. The main goal is to see if heart blood flow (measured by a special CT scan) improves after 6 months.
