Can a computer program heal Veterans' invisible wounds?

NCT ID NCT02922569

Summary

This study tested whether a home-based computer program combining mindfulness exercises and brain training could help soldiers and veterans with mild traumatic brain injury (TBI). Twenty-three participants used the experimental software or a control program to see if it improved memory, thinking speed, daily function, and quality of life. The goal was to provide a safe, accessible tool to help manage the lasting cognitive symptoms of TBI.
