Can meditation and needles ease Post-Surgery pain? duke study tests new recovery combo
NCT ID NCT06429072
Summary
This study tested whether a program combining mindfulness training and acupuncture, added to standard patient education, is practical and acceptable for people recovering from spine surgery. Fifty patients were randomly assigned to receive either the combined program or education alone. The main goal was to see if patients could and would use the mindfulness app and attend acupuncture sessions, not to prove if it reduced pain better than education alone.
