Mindfulness before memory: a new way to find closure?
NCT ID NCT07437092
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 13-minute mindfulness meditation, followed by recalling an unresolved memory, can reduce negative emotions and increase feelings of closure. About 220 university students will be randomly assigned to either the mindfulness exercise or a simple mind-wandering task. The goal is to see if mindfulness uniquely helps people process lingering memories.
