Summary

This study tested a new 8-week group program called Mindful Action for Pain (MAP) that combines mindfulness meditation with other proven techniques to help veterans with chronic pain. The goal was to improve daily functioning and reduce how much pain interferes with life. 126 veterans took part, and the program was compared to standard cognitive behavioral therapy.
