Summary
This study tested a new program called Mindful Action for Pain (MAP) in 126 veterans with long-term pain. MAP combines daily mindfulness meditation with proven therapy techniques to help people live better despite pain. The goal was to see if it could reduce how much pain interferes with daily life, compared to standard cognitive behavioral therapy.
