Can simple mind exercises calm anxiety and sharpen memory in seniors?
NCT ID NCT06063265
Summary
This study tested whether a 6-week group training program focused on attention and breathing exercises could improve thinking skills and reduce anxiety in older adults. 120 participants aged 60-90 who had both anxiety symptoms and concerns about their memory were randomly assigned to either the mind training program or a health education class. Researchers measured changes in memory, focus, anxiety levels, and certain blood markers over 24 weeks to see which approach was more helpful.
