Can tai chi change your gut to ease arthritis pain?
NCT ID NCT05186714
Summary
This small, completed study explored whether mind-body exercise like Tai Chi changes gut bacteria in people with knee osteoarthritis, and if those changes relate to pain and stiffness. Researchers compared 12 weeks of Tai Chi to a wellness education program in 72 participants aged 55 and older. The main goal was to gather information to design a larger future trial, not to provide immediate treatment.
